Fahri menganggap wajar apa yang dilakukan oleh para narapidana mengganti fasilitas yang ada di dalam selnya. Menurut dia, Lapas Sukamiskin merupakan yang tertua dan sudah berumur 100 tahun, sehingga perlu pembenahan.

Ia mencontohkan penggantian kloset jongkok dengan kloset duduk. Kata dia, narapidana di Sukamiskin sudah ada yang berumur tua dan tidak mungkin menggunakan kloset jongkok. Namun pada kenyataannya, malah ditentang KPK.

"Makanya kalau orang yang mengganti kloset jongkok menjadi kloset duduk, kalau zaman Belanda masih memakai kloset jongkok masa hari ini tidak boleh memakai kloset duduk itu sudah bocor, sudah rusak, sudah ancur," katanya.

Sementara saat disinggung fasilitas mewah seperti AC, kulkas, atau TV, ia menganggap wajar. Menurutnya, barang-barang yang ada di sel tahanan bukan sengaja dimasukkan tapi memiliki manfaat tertentu bagi penghuninya.

"Kulkas itu karena ada orang yang punya obat. Kalau dia nggak minum obat dia mati. Memang sih di luar sana (berpikir) kalau bisa koruptor tuh mati aja nggak usah minum obat, kan gitu otaknya," kata dia pula.
