Nama Luna Maya sudah tak asing lagi di industri hiburan Tanah Air. Pernah menikmati popularitas sebagai aktris, model, dan presenter, namanya sempat mendadak redup saat tersangkut kasus skandal video yang menggegerkan beberapa tahun lalu. Dengan tegar, ia mengaku jatuh bangun dalam fase kehidupannya sempat membuatnya depresi.

Tidak semua fase hidupnya menyenangkan. Luna menyebut tahun 2009 dan beberapa tahun sesudahnya sebagai masa-masa tersulit dalam hidupnya.

“Saya mengalami yang namanya post-power syndrome. Saya berjuang melawan mental illness itu cukup lama, sekitar dua tahun,” ujar Luna Maya beberapa waktu lalu, seperti dikutip dari laporan Tempo.co, Kamis (02/08/2018).

Wanita berusia 34 tahun itu kemudian menggambarkan, melawan post-power syndrome bagaikan berperang dengan sesuatu yang tidak terlihat. Makin terasa berat karena ia bagai tergelincir dari puncak popularitas ke dasar jurang.

“Dulu orang mengenal saya sebagai bintang iklan sabun mandi ternama. Setelah kejadian itu (skandal video), boro-boro. Mau jadi bintang tamu program televisi saja, sehari menjelang syuting tiba-tiba dibatalkan. Rasanya sakit banget. Itu sering banget terjadi,” papar Luna Maya.

Seperti diketahui, Luna Maya sempat dikenal sebagai bintang produk sabun mandi terkenal. Pada 2009, ia disebut sebagai bintang televisi dengan bayaran termahal dan aktris layar lebar termahal ketiga. Di tahun yang sama, ia juga masuk dalam daftar 10 Bintang Berkilau dan menjadi Bintang of the Year versi Bintang.

“Saya yang dulu sering membeli tas kemudian menjadi reseller tas. Ada sahabat yang terbang ke Paris, pulang ke Indonesia membawa banyak tas untuk dijual. Saya membantunya berjualan dengan keuntungan 500 ribu Rupiah per tas. Lumayan,” ungkapnya.

Perlahan, Luna Maya mulai bangkit dari keterpurukan. Akhir 2010, dia kembali berakting di salah satu judul FTV. FTV itu mendapat rating tinggi lalu ditayangkan berkali-kali.

Saat itulah, produser melihat kebintangan Luna belum pudar.

“Saya lupa judulnya tapi ingat lawan mainnya Oka Antara. Setelah itu, barulah saya main sinetron,” kisah Luna Maya.

Mama, Salah Satu Sumber Kekuatan

Saat ditanya wartawan, dari mana ia mendapat kekuatan besar untuk bangkit? “Mungkin karena saya keras kepala,” kata Luna berterus terang.

Ia lalu menyebut ibunya, Desa Maya Waltraud Maiyer, sebagai salah satu sumber kekuatan.

“Ibu saya perempuan yang kuat, cuek, dan punya prinsip. Saya tidak tahu dari mana persisnya kekuatan itu berasal. Saya percaya (selain Mama) kekuatan ini datang dari Sang Pemberi Kehidupan. Ada energi yang memancar dari dalam,” ujarnya.

Menurut Luna, bangkit itu tidak semudah mengucapkannya. Dalam perjalanan berdamai dengan diri sendiri, ada saja tantangannya. Salah satunya saat Luna melihat artis yang seangkatan dengannya sukses menjadi brand ambassador banyak produk.

“(Saat itu) saya bertanya-tanya, ‘Kok gue enggak? Kok gue dilupakan?’ Sempat saya berpikir, ‘Dulu kalian mencari-cari gue, sekarang gue dilepeh.’ Momen itu kena banget di hati saya,” cerita Luna Maya.

Ia menyimpulkan, bergantung pada orang lain tak akan membuatnya maju. Selain mulai berbisnis, Luna melihat peluang saat media sosial mewabah.

Tanpa harus sering muncul di layar kaca, orang bisa populer dan mendapatkan banyak uang. Saat itu Luna makin yakin, satu-satunya yang bisa memberikan kewarasan di tengah musibah yang menderanya adalah diri sendiri.

Kontrol terhadap masalah, menurutnya, ada di tangan kita. Saat jatuh, manusia tak punya pilihan lain kecuali bangkit.

“Apakah saya pernah menangis setelah kejadian itu? Seringlah. Apalagi saat harus mengakui bahwa saya harus berdamai dengan diri sendiri. Apakah saya sudah berdamai dengan diri sendiri? Sudah,” tutur Luna Maya.

Bangkit Kembali

Salah satu tanda kebangkitan Luna terjadi di industri film. The Doll 2 (Rocky Soraya, 2017) yang dibintanginya bersama Herjunot Ali masuk dalam daftar film Indonesia terlaris. Film itu menghimpun 1,2 juta penonton, menyempurnakan pencapaian jilid sebelumnya yang hanya 500 ribuan.

Rumah produksi Hitmaker Studios kemudian membangun The Doll Cinematic Universe. Keputusan ini ditandai dengan dirilisnya sempalan The Doll bertajuk Sabrina, bulan Juli kemarin. Dalam film itu, Luna dipasangkan dengan Christian Sugiono. Ini menandai reuni Luna-Christian setelah 13 tahun berpisah. Sebelumnya mereka tampil di film Cinta Silver pada 2005.

Luna mengaku, semester pertama tahun ini, ia sangat sibuk. Namun, karena memutuskan menjadi manajer untuk diri sendiri, Luna bisa memberi kesempatan diri sendiri untuk berlibur.

“Dulu saat mau berlibur, manajer sering memasukkan pekerjaan baru. Sekarang saya bisa bilang tidak. Minggu lalu misalnya, saya syuting film sampai jam 9 pagi. Baru bisa tidur jam 11 siang. Akhirnya saya bilang tidak saat diajak promosi film karena bagaimana pun saya harus memperhatikan kesehatan fisik saya,” ungkapnya mengisahkan.
